I would like to do some freelance business writing for local companies or ad/pr agencies but don’t know how to begin marketing my services. I’d also like to break into freelance magazine or newspaper writing. Any help in how to break into these markets would be appreciated.

Should I offer incentives/bribes?
Should I just dump the surveys on their doorsteps?
Should I do a phone campaign?
What are some other Ideas I can try?

I own a new small restaurant that does gourmet soups, salads and sandwiches. We are trying to increase our “boxed lunch” sales. What is the best way to increase our sales of boxed lunches to local businesses in the area? We are new enough (about 1-2 weeks old) that basically nobody really knows about us yet. I know google has offices in Mountain View and NYC, but how do they sell to local markets? Do they have satellite offices or local sellers that report to CA or NY? If live in Phoenix and want to sell local business google search words or paid SEM how would that work?

We have tried mailing our $5.00 coupons via fist class mail to some business, this is working (slowly but surely), however, we would like to expand and grow our business more.
