I have a web design business in the United States but I will be working from Brazil. I will recruit resellers in the United States that will offer my web design packages to local businesses in the US.
Please note that they won’t be using the net to get clients, they will actually go and talk to local businessmen. These resellers will earn about $400 for a basic package sale, $500-700 for the advanced package. They will be earning a little bit more than me for each sale they make. Clients will order a package from the reseller by paying him a 50% deposit. Then the reseller will place an order at my website and pay me a 50%. I will complete the website for the reseller, the reseller will get the other 50% from his client and will pay me 50% of the total I quoted him. This way, the reseller does not have to invest anything. He pays for the website with part of the money he gets from his client. Do you think this plan will work? Tell me your opinions, please. Thanks!

I have tried adwords, mailshots, local press, email….everything, but it seems the only way small business owners will make a purchase decision is based on word of mouth.
Any thoughts/opinions from business owners or marketing experts would be most welcome!
